Scholarship Winners- This year’s scholarships recipients are Alex Reiten, Ethan Rasset, and Dillon Praus.

Trap Club- There have been a lot of improvements to the trap range. They are shooting league on Tuesday nights. The fun shoot will be June 12th at 5:30.

Trap Team – The VCHS Trap Team had a very successful season. The conference season is done and VCHS placed 6th in the conference out of 7 teams. The trap team consists of 53 participants in grades 7-12. There are over 1400 total participants in the state of ND. Highlights from the season are: Blake Didier shot 50 out of 50 in the last week of competition. Braylen Bruns shot 25 out of 25 in weeks 2 and 4 during the competition season. Braylen Bruns placed 9th in the state with a 23.7 average. Braylen Bruns placed 3rd in the male division in the conference. Emma Mielke placed 5th in the female division in the conference with a 20.6 average. Evan Mielke and Blake Didier are tied for 59th in the state with a 22 average. We will be having a fun shoot on Wednesday, June 6th starting at 5:30 pm. If anyone would like to watch some of these shooters in action come up to the Valley City Trap Range.

Summer Derby – Will be June 9th & 10th, if you can help contact Perry.

Hunters Ed- The next Hunter Education class will meet at Valley City State University in the Rhoades Science Center. June 19th, 21th, 25th, 26th, and 28th. The classes are from 6 pm until 9:30 pm each night. You can register online on the Game and Fish Website or you can also sign up at the first class. For more information call Skip, 845-3211 or 490-3211 Students must be at least 11 years old. Bring a pencil and notebook to the class.

Summer Picnic – Will be at Dacotah Pavilion, in Chautauqua Park at 6:30 on August 8th. Please bring a salad or dessert to share. Bring your own beverage if you would like something other than pop or water.
