The raffle is for an either “gender” whitetail deer tag; valid for the 2021 hunting season. This tag may be used during any open season or unit that is specified in the governor’s proclamation for the species awarded.

All normal season dates and regulations must be adhered to for the species awarded.

Tag recipient may either be a ND resident or non-resident.

Tag recipient may “gift” or select someone else to receive the tag.

Tag recipient is not allowed to possess a special allocation tag and regular lottery tag for the same species in a calendar year.

In the event some does receive more than one tag, they will need to decide which tag they wish to keep.

Recipient must be 14 years of age or older prior to 12/31/2021 and eligible to hunt within the State of North Dakota.

Big game licenses also require a resident combination license or general game and habitat license prior to hunting.

The tag recipient must purchase these licenses before the special allocation tag will be issued.

Winner is responsible for any additional fees.Must be 18 years old or older to purchase ticket.

Must register with gun seller and pass background check.

If winner fails background check, prize will be forfeited to Thundering Saints.

All ATF rules and regulations must be followed.

If you don’t want the gun, a Scheel’s Gift Card for the amount of the purchase price will be issued.

Because of COVID, if a gun is not available a Scheel’s Gift Card will be issued.

Big Spender Banquet- The banquet is on April 10th. Perry needs some more volunteers for the banquet. If you can help give Perry a call. There is free supper for volunteers that night.

Summer Derby- The summer derby will be June 12th and 13th. If you are looking to get in the derby and haven’t fished it in the past there is an application available on our website. Perry could use some more volunteers. Please contact him if you have time to help.

Thundering Saints Raffle- We are partnering with the Thundering Saints on a raffle. They received one of the NDGF whitetail deer tags. Raffle tickets will be available at the next meeting. ANS Wash Station- The Game and Fish are planning to install ANS Wash stations at Mel Reiman and Sibley.

VCHS Trap Team- TJ said they are hoping for 50 trap shooters this year and 20 skeet shooters.

Take a Kid Fishing- Goose is retiring this year and the program will be taken over by Ethan Preston. Thank you Goose for all your past work on Take a Kid Fishing.

DU Banquet- There will be a DU Banquet at the Eagles on April 8th.

New Fishing License- Just a reminder new fishing licenses are needed after April 1st

Hunter Education will meet in-person at the Connect Church in Valley City. You will meet from 6:00-9:30 p.m. on March 15th, 16th, 19th, 22nd & 23rd. If you do not attend, you may lose the opportunity to enroll for a year. *Students under the age of 18, please have your guardian come in the first evening of class to sign the Student Registration Card. Social distancing and masks are encouraged. Online registration is required prior to attending the class.

BCW Predator Hunt Results- 1st place with 5 coyotes was Eugene Sandness, Rob Sandness, Brennon Weight.  2nd place was Gary Will and Christian Owen.  The first place team also had big dog and little dog.  The gun winner was Greg Curtis.

Middle Eckelson- There was a boat ramp installed on Middle Eckelson.  The club donated $2500 to help with the cost of putting in the ramp, Dakota Anglers also donated $2500 to the project.  The Game and Fish will be stocking it will walleyes this year.  Dick Monson was a big part of this project.  He purchased the land from Howard Oppegard for the G&F easement so the ramp could be put in.

Hunter’s Ed Class – There will be a class March 15th, 16th, 19th, 22nd, and 23rd from 6pm to 930pm at Connect Church.  You will be able to register on the Game and Fish website.

Scholarships – The BCW Scholarship Applications are on the website and Facebook page.  The deadline is April 1st

Raffle- We will be partnering with the Thundering Saints on a raffle.  They received one of the NDGF whitetail deer tags.  More details and tickets coming soon.

Moon Lake Picnic Shelter- The votech center is hoping to have the shelter completed before school is out.

Pheasant Tail Contest- There was 20 entries this year.  First Place went to Perry Kapaun, 24 ½, Second Wayne Liebersbach 24, Third Josh Liebersbach 23 5/16.  

Hunter’s Ed Class – Tentatively looking at having a class starting end of February.
