If you have not renewed your membership yet or you would like to sign up you can download a form to send in from our website , by talking to a club officer, or stopping at L&H Shoe Shop.
Membership Drive/Landowner Supper- We had a great turnout, lots of landowners and we renewed/signed up 150 memberships.
Gas & Grocery Raffle- The raffle was a success again this year, approximately $2,300 was brought in.
BCW Predator Hunt- The BCW Predator hunt will be on February 1st, Poster attached to email
Sheyenne Valley Calling Contest- The hunt and raffle were held on Saturday January 25. There were 12 teams, with a total of 23 hunters. There were a total of 5 coyotes brought in. The first place team with a total of 4 coyotes was Eugene Sandness, Rob Sandness and Keith Hample. The second place team with 1 coyote was tatem Brandt, Jarod Miedma and Nathan Schmidt. Then 3rd through place team prices were drawn for.
Pheasant Tail Contest- First Place went to Josh Holm with a 25 1/8 inch tail feather. Second Place was Perry Kapaun 24 1/16 inches. Third Place was Marlowe Stavens, 23 3/16 inches.
Hunter’s Ed Class – Classes will be February 17, 18, 20, 24, 27 the classes will be from 6 to 9:30 pm. Signing up for the class needs to be done on the Game and Fish Website.
Hides for Habitat- The winner was Tom Cruff. 50/50 cash split from sale on hides.
Delta Waterfowl Banquet- The banquet will be 2/22. The money raised from this event goes to help the VCHS trap team.
Habitat Hunt Harvest- BCW is a sponsor of the event. The event is for women landowners on 3/5. There is a poster attached to the email and on our website.
Winter Show Booth- We are having a booth at the winter show again this year. The booth will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We would really appreciate any members that are retired or not working on Thursday or Friday to take those shifts if possible. There will be a signup sheet at the February meeting, or you can call Josh 840-5269.
Big Spender Banquet– The banquet and raffle will be April 4th. This year there are 10 Henry rifles on the ticket in place of the Redlin Prints.
New WPA- Bruce Ranum is working with Fish and Wildlife to sell them land by Adams Slough to turn into a WPA. BCW is committing $2,000 to help with tree removal and seeding of the land.
Riverfest – BCW will be donating $500 to the Riverfest event again this year.

The hunt and raffle were sponsored by the Barnes County Wildlife Club{Valley City), Litchville Wildlife Club{Litchville) and the James River Sportsman Club(LaMoure)
Hunter Education will meet at VCSU on February 17, 18, 20, 24 and 27th from 6:00pm-9:30pm. Must attend all days of class to pass. If you do not attend, you may lose the opportunity to enroll for a year. *Students under the age of 18, please have your guardian come in the first evening of class to sign the Student Registration Card.

Pheasant Tail Contest will be before the 7pm Meeting
Landowner Appreciation Supper and Membership Drive- Is January 8th at 6 pm at the Valley City Eagles Club. Please invite landowners.
Election of Directors- The election of directors took place at the December Meeting. Swampy decided to get off the board after many years of service. Derrick Rogers was nominated to take his open spot. A unanimous vote was cast for Derrick Rogers, Matt Sorenson, Jay Holm, and Levi Robertsdahl.
Winter Derby- We had to cancel this year. There is less ice than normal and standing water and slush on top of the ice.
Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest will take place before the January Meeting. Please bring in the entire tail section from the pheasant.
2020 Budget- The budget was presented at the December Meeting and approved by the membership.
Picnic Shelters- Matt Maresh spoke with the Votech Center about having some picnic shelters built for BCW to put at Moon Lake and Faust Park.
Sheyenne Valley Calling Contest- The calling contest will be January 18th and the gun raffle tickets are available for sale. Perry would like you to turn the tickets in to him at the membership drive.
BCW Predator Hunt- The BCW Predator hunt will be on February 1st
Deer for the Food Pantry – There were 3 deer donated at the time of the December Meeting.
Hides for Habitat- The hides have been picked up and there will be a 50/50 drawing at the next meeting.
Winter Show Booth- The club will be having a booth at the Winter Show again this year.
