Pheasant Tail Contest – The contest will take place before the meeting on the 9th. Make sure to bring the whole tail section in.
Election of Officers – A unanimous vote was passed to re-elect all officers.
Deer for the Food Pantry – There were 6 deer turned in to valley meats for the food pantry this year. Thank you to everyone that donated.
Deer Hides – Please remember to get your deer hides turned in to Valley Meats or in Wimbledon to get entered into the 50/50 raffle.
Ice Fishing Derby – Will be held on January 12th at Sibley. It looks like we should have good ice this year. If you have a permanent ice house you want to use during the derby please try to put it out on the ice the night before the derby if possible.
NDWF Convention – The convention will be January 18th and 19th in Bismarck. Please contact Perry if you are interested in going.
NDWF Big Spenders Banquet – The banquet will be held April 6th. Tickets are available; please contact Perry if you are interested in going. There are only 425 tickets available.
Artificial Garland- We will be doing the perch spawning rings on Ashtabula again this year. Please save any artificial garland you were planning on throwing away for the club.
Hunters Ed – The next class will be in March.

Buck Show – The buck show will be held at the Valley City Eagles on Monday November 26th. The contest is open to any ND deer taken this season by bow or rifle, by a Barnes County resident or BCWF member. Deer need to be brought in the SE door between 6 and 7:30. Also anyone bringing in a deer will be entered in a drawing for door prizes and all Jr entries will receive a blaze orange hat from Affordable Promo. Election of Officers- The election of officers will take place at the December meeting. If you are interested or would like to nominate someone let Perry or another board member know.

Fall Banquet – The fall banquet and auction will be Friday November 2nd. If you can help out the night of the banquet or with setup the night before, please contact Perry 490-1797 or let him know at the meeting. Early Bird tickets need to be turned in by October 19th.
Trap Range- A lot of improvements have been made! Lewis Legge said that at the time of the September Meeting that 90-95% of the work was done at the trap range.

Riparian Restoration Interpretive Site- Barnes County Soil Conservation is working on a project there, total cost for the project is $9,800. The club is donating $500 to help with the costs.

Take a Kid Fishing- There was a good turn out this year. Thank you to all the volunteers that came out and helped!
VCHS Trap Team State Trap Meet Results- VCHS Trap Team competed at the state trap shoot on Sunday, June 17th. The team had a great performance at the state shoot in all categories. The team took 6th in the Varsity portion with a score of 448. In the Novice division Valley City took home the championship with a score of 384.
VCHS Trap Team National Trap Meet – Blake Didier shot a cumulative score of 197 and placed 19th out of 1273 shooters at the national tournament in Michigan. Braylen Bruns shot 96 a cumulative score of 195 and places 51st out of 1273 shooters. Great work you guys! Awesome showing at nationals!
Valley City Trap Club – Fun Night was held June 12th over $600 was raised for Hunter’s Ed.
Barnes County North Trap Team – The club donated $750 to their trap team.
Summer Walleye Derby- Congratulations to Rod and Kaleb Lux for winning the summer walleye derby. The tournament was held on June 9th and 10th. There were 329 walleyes weighed in over the weekend. More info below and pictures are available on the clubs website and Facebook Page.
Ashtabula Crossing Fireworks Show- The club donated $500 to the crossings fireworks show this year.
Fish Fry – We had a good turnout at the fish fry again this year, thank you to all the volunteers that helped out.
Pheasant Chicks – There were 1650 handed out this year.
