Sheyenne Valley Calling & Raffle Contest – The hunt and raffle was January 21st. There was 17 teams consisting of 45 hunters and they harvested 25 coyotes.
First place with 7 coyotes was Russ Young and Lee Slykerman, second place – 5 coyotes – Talen, Brandon, and Randy Larson, third place – 5 coyotes – Mark Pollert, Rob Sandness, and Cole Young. Raffle results are attached to the newsletter email and are available on the club’s website and Facebook page.
Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest was held before the January meeting. Wayne Liebersbach took 1st 24 5/16, 2nd place Owen Tichy 24 4/16, 3rd place Waylan Starr 24 2/16.
BCW Predator Hunt- The hunt will be February 4th poster available on Facebook and our website.
Hunter’s Ed- There will be a class starting February 20th at VCSU. Details and registration is on the ND G&F website.
Fingal Wildlife Smoker- The smoker will be on February 10th.
NDWF- The convention was held in Bismarck earlier this month. NDWF President Kerry Whip has been emailing out briefings. I have been emailing them out to the membership and will continue to do that to keep everyone informed with what’s going on with NDWF.
Big Spenders Raffle Tickets- The banquet and raffle with be April 1st. There are very few tickets left. Contact Perry, 490-1797 if you would like to purchase one.
Summer Derby- The summer derby will be June 10th and 11th.
2023 Fisheries Project- The club’s project will be a new cleaning station at the west crossing and also a dock at Eckelson Lake.

Big coyote – tie between Ronnie Paul and Lee Slykerman.
Small coyote – Mark Pollert.
17 teams consisting of 45 hunters harvested 25 coyotes.

Pheasant Tail Contest will be before the 7pm Meeting
Election of Officers- The election of officers was held at the January meeting. Jeff Differding and Randy Bostrom decided to step down. We would like to thank them for their many years of service. Derrick Rogers was nominated for Treasurer and Jonah Wolla was nominated for Secretary and approved along with current officers. Wayne Liebersbach took Derrick Rogers spot as a director.
Membership Drive & Landowner Appreciation Supper- The membership drive and Landowner Appreciation Supper will be January 4th at the Eagles. Please invite landowners out for a free meal. There will also be prize drawings for landowners.
2023 Fisheries Project- The club’s project will be a new cleaning station at the west crossing and also a dock at Eckelson Lake.
Pheasant Tail Contest – The pheasant tail contest will take place before the January Meeting. Please bring in the entire tail section from the pheasant.
Winter Derby – The Winter Derby has been cancelled due to excessive snow and poor ice conditions.
Sheyenne Valley Calling & Raffle Contest – The hunt and raffle are scheduled for January 21st. Raffle tickets are available from Perry and other club officers. They can also be purchased by Venmo. Please send $20 along with your address, and phone number to Josh-Holm.
NDWF Convention- The convention will be January 6th, 7th, and 8th in Bismarck.

Gas and Grocery raffle tickets were mailed out with the newsletter. The drawing will be held in January at the membership drive. You can turn the tickets in to Perry at Rural Water or to Jill at the Shoe Shop. If you can sell more tickets contact Perry 490-1797
Buck Show- We had a good turnout for the buck show. Congratulations to Travis Kunze and Will Eggert for winning their divisions.
